My PhD project focuses on Algorithmic Game Theory, in particular Fair Division. The problem of Fair Division concerns with dividing items between selfish and strategizing agents with a focus both on the definition of fairness, and methods and algorithms. Traditionally, agent valuations remain constant. I want to investigate the fair division problem where the value an agent assigns to an item changes with time. As more decisions are being made by AI it is imperative that the decisions made by an algorithm will be considered fair for all parties involved, this being one of the key reasons as to why I decided to join the STAI CDT. Working in a cohort allows me to engage more with other PhD students, building connections and establishing networks.
