After winning the Supervisory Excellence Award for the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences, Dr Black was chosen as the overall King’s winner at the awards ceremony on Tuesday 7 November.
Professor Rebecca Oakey, Dean for Doctoral Studies at King’s College London said, “Dr Elizabeth Black was selected as the overall award winner based on her willingness to adapt to the needs of her PhD students and her dedication helping them develop as independent researchers with a good work life balance.”
The prestigious award recognizes the amount of encouragement and time that supervisors put into supporting their PhD students and over 200 supervisors were nominated by postgraduate research students.
Congratulations to Dr Black for her award. Her dedication to her supervisees reflects the care and time that she puts into supporting the needs of the STAI CDT PhD students through her role as CDT Director.
