My research focus on the applications of multimodal Large Language Models in educational AI. The main objectives are to incorporate LLMs into educational tasks such as automated assessment, teaching content generation, and grammatical error correction. Furthermore, the research will explore developing a trustworthy multimodal AI system that supports human interaction in specific educational tasks or broader educational contexts.

A key part of this work, aligned with STAI CDT’s mission, is ensuring the safety and trustworthiness of AI in education. Addressing ethical concerns such as data privacy, robustness, fairness, and bias is essential to building reliable and effective systems.

Joining STAI CDT is meaningful to me as it offers opportunities to deepen my understanding of safe AI through sessions and modules, and collaborative learning with peers make my PhD journey more enriching and fulfilling.
