My PhD thesis focuses on the privacy and safety of teenagers interacting with generative AI chatbots
My PhD project will (1) qualitatively explore teenagers’ privacy perspectives when using generative AI in diverse contexts, (2) quantify the prevalence and differences of experiences and views identified in the qualitative work, and (3) conduct a co-design study using Participatory Action Research (PAR) to develop and test youth-centric privacy solutions including design prototypes, policy guidelines, and educational materials suitable for schools and parents.
